Mission Statement
Our mission is to help children develop a love of learning through play, foster a commitment to explore and value differences, build a foundation for independence, cultivate social and emotional development, and enable academic growth through our cooperative family of families.
Vision Statement
HRNS aims to be the leading preschool to prepare today's children to become tomorrow's innovators and leaders, by utilizing engaging hands-on STEAM and play-based learning.
Creative Curriculum
Exploration & Discovery
Creative Curriculum uses exploration and discovery as a way of learning and enables children to develop confidence, creativity, and lifelong critical thinking skills. It addresses all the important areas of learning, from social-emotional and math to technology and the arts, and incorporates them throughout every part of the day.
Comprehensive Assessment
The Creative Curriculum model also places a high importance on authentic, ongoing assessment of children. The Creative Curriculum comprehensive assessment tools are based on the latest research, are proven valid and reliable, and are fully aligned with the Common Core State Standards, state early learning guidelines, and the Head Start Child Development and Early Learning Framework.
Family Partnerships
Family partnerships are an essential part of the success of HRNS. When teachers and families work together, children’s development and learning is fully supported. The Creative Curriculum platform offers a wealth of family-focused resources that are completely devoted to helping our teachers build connections between a child’s two most important worlds: school and home.
