Meet Cecilia Cheng Eng, mom of Kingston in Blue Door

Board Position: Docent Director (Co-Chair)

I work with my co-chair Miss. Nikki Staggs Lambdin on art and science topics, lesson
planning, hands on projects, creating mini concert, mini museum, visiting Norton Simon
Museum on February 3, 2018. Coordinating the two docent days 8 times a year with 11 short
lessons and 12 labs for the children.

What do you like about being on the board and your position on the board?

Seeing children happy, learning and asking questions.

Why did you choose to be on the board?

I was afraid, I know it will not be an easy task but I love the challenge. I have the art
background...I signed up. : )

Why do you love HRNS?

The structure, the love and the play based creative learning.....so much I would love to say but
this can go on forever. I appreciate the hardworking director, teachers, Katerina, parents. It
feels like Kingston is being cared for by loving aunties and uncles at HRNS.

Why did you choose HRNS?

It was love at first sight!
